Little Laurel’s Mission

Our mission at Little Laurels Montessori Preschool is to provide a complete Montessori program which considers the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the total child by addressing the uniqueness of each in a nurturing, emotionally secure and academically excellent environment. We create a warm and enriching early childhood environment which promotes children’s learning through hands-on experience, and opportunities for multi-sensory exploration and discovery.

More

Little Laurels Montessori Preschool is an independent, non-profit, private preschool with a non-discriminatory admittance and hiring policy regarding students and staff, and welcomes students of any race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin.

“Our two children both attended Little Laurels last year. It is an amazing school! Our little one was in the Toddler Room and our older child was in the Tree Preschool Room. All the teachers were amazing. We were so sad to leave Seattle and have to leave this school. It’s taken us months to find something comparable in our new home area. The teachers are all warm and welcoming to the children. The space is calm and peaceful (most of the time – children do get to run around and scream a bunch from time to time). Our older child regularly came home with wonderful stories of what they had done or learned, from cultural exploration through the art of Frida Kahlo to telling me about the continents and a country called “Costa Rica” (our kid was really into this for some reason). Our younger one came home singing and dancing with new songs and moves. They also both made great progress in their development – definitely benefiting from the mixed age groups. My family can’t speak highly enough about this school.”
